Please note:
- When inserting Pipe parts and Components, you can work
- with guidelines or
- without guidelines.
You select the desired procedure in the Plant Engineering Settings.
- Information on parts and pipelines can be obtained via the appropriate functions of the Evaluation function group on the Plant Engineering tab.
- You can add further parts to the part type list which is displayed during pipe part and component insertion.
- The procedure for part selection depends on the part source you have chosen in the Part selection tab of the Plant Engineering Settings dialogue: Database or Catalogue.
- When inserting Plant Engineering parts into a 3-D layout plan, HiCAD does not only save the links of the part to the corresponding data record in the part data source (HELiOS database or HiCAD catalogue), but also copies the attributes (names and values) from the data record and saves it to the part in the layout plan. The advantage is that the attribute data are now also available, e.g. for a BOM, if the drawing is loaded on a workstation that has no access to the part data source from which the attribute data originate.
- When you insert parts via the P+ID, you can transfer P+ID symbol dialogue texts from the symbol data masks to assigned, user-definable system attributes of the 3-D part. This assignment is defined via the P+ID attribute assignment tab.
-
When you insert pipe parts and components a shaded, semi-transparent preview of the part will be displayed (as is the case when inserting other 3-D parts).
