Functions for the Active Document: Output

Documents with an older index, which are no longer in the document list, can be edited with the Show Version Management function.

The Create index function creates a modified document with a proof of change. The master data and the graphic with the current index are made invalid and will be archived. The new version of the document receives a new index and is activated, thus enabling you to track the modifications, respectively drawing statuses (indices) for the complete life cycle of a drawing.

When you call the function, the pin in the bottom left corner of the input mask indicates that other functions are locked during data input. Click Initialize to delete all entries.

The Document number and the number of the Sheet will be taken over.

For the first change the index will be set to 1.

After completing your changes in the database mask, save the master data with OK. The Version Management window will be displayed. Proceed as follows:

1. Enter your Name and a short comment concerning the reason for the change. The date will be entered automatically.
2. Click OK to transfer the new index to the database.

When you select this function, a standard dialogue window opens for saving a file. Select a directory and enter a file name and confirm with Save.

The file extension (.SZA, .DOC etc.) is automatically taken from the document.

Use this function to send a document from the HELiOS Desktop as an E-mail attachment. A new e-mail with the appropriate attachment will be opened by your standard e-mail program to be sent to the intended recipient.

In the user management of the EDBSETUP, the Export function can be used to specify for which HELiOS users the export of files is permitted or restricted. This authorisation also applies when sending files by e-mail.

Use this function to print the contents of the active document (or a multiple selection of documents) via the HELiOS Spooler.

Use this function to print documents such as Office or PDF files from HELiOS via the standard printer of your Windows system.

You can use this function to convert documents saved in HELiOS into other file formats and save them in a predefined target directory (or freely selectable sub-directory).

The HELiOS Spooler must be activated to perform the conversion.

This old conversion functionand its sub-menu will be removed in future HELiOS versions.

If so-called HDE reports have been defined, use this function to call them for the desired HELiOS object. If only one report exists in the system, it will be called instantly; if there are several reports, a selection dialogue will be displayed.

If no reports exist for the corresponding object type, an appropriate message will be displayed.

Use the context menu function Copy number to copy the designation of a HELiOS object (Document number, Article number, Folder name, Project, Material designation) to the Clipboard, e.g. to paste it from there to other applications with only a few mouse clicks.

The number will remain in the Clipboard as long as the application from which it was copied (e.g. the HELiOS Desktop or another linked CAD program, or an MS Office program) is open. As soon as the application is closed, the number will be removed from the Clipboard.

Copies the URL of the HELiOS document to the clipboard, to enable its pasting to another location.
