Edit Part/Assembly Structure

Right-click part > Part/assembly structure

The functions of this menu enable you to change the assembly and part structure of the current drawing. You can find the menu in the context menu for parts and assemblies. To open the context menu, right-click a part or an assembly, either in the drawing or in the ICN.

Assembly Functions

• Change part, Into main assembly
• Delete main assembly ident

• Change part, Into assembly

• Delete assembly ident

• Change part, Into assembly main part

• Form assembly

• Analyze

• Update
• Convert

 

Part Structure Functions

• Move part, Subordinate to active part

• Move part, Convert in to main part

• Delete, Break up sub-part levels

• Delete, Active part without sub-parts

• Delete, All sub-parts

 

Tip:

If you move the cursor on a symbol of the 3-D part structure of the ICN, a tooltip showing the associated, superordinate part structure will be displayed. This can be very helpful, especially in large drawings containing very many parts.
