        Itemisation
The Item number area allows you to specify start
number and sorting for the assignment of item numbers.

            - Start
 value

Different start numbers can be defined for item number assignment for
assemblies, Steel Engineering parts, standard parts, general
parts and weld seams. Enter the start value into the corresponding input field. Please
note that start value in the list box Start value= selected start value method. Depending on start method, you can specify
a factor or an allowance instead of the start value.

If you do not want standard parts and general parts to
be taken into account during automatic itemising, deactivate the relevant
 checkbox.
To assign an unambiguous item number to each weld seam of a weld seam part, activate the Each weld seam with own number checkbox. The checkbox is deactivated by default. You can change this presetting in the Configuration Editor at Compatibility > Itemisation up to HiCAD 2017 > Item numbers. There, activate the Each weld seam with own number checkbox.

            - Start
 value=

With the exception of assemblies, the type of start value calculation
can be selected for parts. The list box provides the following options:
            - Start value

The specified start value is used.
            - Factor x current assy. no.

The item number of the part is defined by the specified factor and the assembly number of the part.
            - Allowance + max. assy. no.

The item number of a part is defined by means of the specified allowance
 and the highest assembly number.
            - Sorting

You use the Sort button to
specify the order in which the item numbers are assigned. To enable you
to do this, the Determine sorting dialogue window
is displayed. The sort criteria are processed in the order displayed in
the window (from top to bottom). You can use the arrow keys at the bottom
of the window to change this order.

To remove one or more sort criteria, proceed

            - Select the corresponding rows,

            - Right-click the selection.

            - Choose

Please note that you can set individual start numbers via the Filter settings.

        Referencing
You can also directly reference parts during automatic itemisation. To do this , activate the required radio button:

            - Without

            - Internal or

            - External

Reference will be assemblies and parts. If you want sub-parts to be referenced as well, additionally activate the with sub-parts checkbox.
