3-D Standard > Tools > Attr.
You use the functions of the Attr. menu to define various attributes of the active 3-D part. The active part can be an individual part, an assembly or a part list.
Properties, In all views |
Assigns further non-graphic attributes, e.g. quantity, item, designation or additional texts, to the active part. This function also enables you to mark parts as BOM-relevant. Click to open a menu with further functions: |
Assigns a material to the active object. |
Changes the shading colour of the active object. |
Changes the edge colour of the active part. The edge colour does not apply to the shaded display. |
Use this function to assign a line type to 3-D parts. In this way, you can, for instance, display the contour edges of neighbouring parts by dash-dotted lines, as is quite common according to certain standards. |
Rename Changes the name of the active part. You can also rename the parts in the ICN. |
Assigns the active object to another layer. Layer numbers 0 to 999 are permitted, with 49 being reserved, by default, for dimensionings. Elements in layer 0 are regarded as invisible and are not output. |
Assigns the active object to layer 40. Parts of this layer re regarded as transparent. |
Displays the variables assigned to the active part. |
Part reduction - Change representation Swiches part reduction on/off. |
Removes the part reduction for the entire drawing. |
Properties, Active view only |
Changes the shading colour of the active object, but only when the function is called in the active view. |
Changes the edge colour of the active part, but only when the function is called in the active view. The edge colour does not apply to shaded representations. |
Use this function to assign a line type to 3-D part in the active view. In this way, you can, for instance, display the contour edges of neighbouring parts by dash-dotted lines, as is quite common according to certain standards. |
Use this function to determine when a part will be regarded as "transparent" in the active view. |
Enables you to define, for each part and view, an individual hatching for those section surfaces which were created by slicings, cut-outs, or detail views. |
Use this function to hide or show coating lines in the active view or in all sectional views. One distinguishes between coating lines on the inner side and the outer side |
Properties, Visualisation |
Defines the visualisation of the parametric dimensions of the active part. |
Limiting angle for shading The limiting angle is only of importance for the export of the drawing as TGF file (Gamma Ray). As only polyhedral bodies are permitted there, colour differences which have a disturbing effect may occur on the polyhedral edges in curved surfaces. You can use this function to correct such edges. |
Properties, Cut |
Part property in sectional view + cut-out Use this function to determine the behaviour of the active part in views that are derived from the active view, such as sectional views, detail views, cut-outs or linked views. |
