The Part master functions (Display active part master for active drawing) and
(Edit part master) can be found in the two function groups HELiOS PDM functions for active drawing and HELiOS PDM functions for active part on the HELiOS PDM tab.
Parts are defined by the input of part master data in the database. Each set of part master data consists of:
If you call the function, the Part mask will be displayed. You will find the part editing functions for the part in the context menu (right-click) of the detail window.
Edit part |
The master data of the selected part will be displayed and can be edited. It is not possible to switch into a detail window while editing, in order to guarantee an error-free transfer of the modifications. |
Delete part |
Use this function to delete the current part record from the database. During this process, however, neither the graphic nor the document record itself will be changed or deleted. |
Remove assignment |
Use this function to delete the assignment of a part |
Workflow |
Use this function to call the Workflow for the current part. |
The Parts where-used list function is available via a right-click in the detail window and shows all parts respectively part groups in which include the active part as a sub-part. The Level column indicates the level of the respective part. |

Links where-used list |
The Links where-used list function is available via a right-click in the detail window. Mark the required objects in the Link field and click on the Start button. |
Use this function to link the current part to other files (parts and documents). The current part can be defined as source file or target file. |

Display links |
Use this function to display all documents respectively parts linked to the current part, which is the source. |
Display link sources |
This function enables you to open the Link sources window and display the documents respectively parts linked to the active document as sources. |
Remove link |
Use this function to remove a link between parts respectively documents. No objects will be deleted, only the links. |
Derivation |
If you call this function, the document master data mask for the current part will be opened with a new document number for the creation of a design derivation. The index will be set to 0. All other contents will remain the same, if the relevant configurations for data transfer during the derivation process are specified accordingly and a part master assignment was made via the appropriate input mask or search mask. |
Derivation with links |
This function works in the same way as the Derivation function, but also takes over the link information. |
Use this function to create a design modification for a part with a where-used list. |

Change, detail drawing |
Use this function to change the index which has been assigned to the part with the Part <->Drawing link condition. |
Index Management |
This function provides restricted editing functions for older indices. |
Frequently used functions such as Edit, Delete etc. can also be called via buttons. The Classification button is active if the relevant record has been classified. You can use the button to hide and redisplay the appropriate tab.
The Links tab shows all linked documents respectively parts, with the current part as source.There can also be links of different types. The Link sources tab shows the documents respectively parts which are linked to the current document as sources.
