Bar elements can be used effectively, for example, for drafts of a steel engineering construction. They aid the sketching of beams and can subsequently be replaced by "proper" beams

Please note:

• Bar elements are generated as main parts with the article number (designation) BAR. They do not have beam information such as material, beam type etc. To insert a bar element as a sub-part, use the function Insert bar element, as sub-part .
• Bar elements are represented with the Only axesbeam representation.
• Bar elements are not taken into account in identical part identification or itemising, as they are only placeholders for beams.
• The Exchange function enables you to replace bar elements by beams.
