Report Manager

As of Version 2023, there is a completely revised, new ISD Report Manager in addition to the old, already known Report Manager. This new Report Manager works with RM_SETTINGS instead of RMS files. To convert your old RMS files, the function Convert RMS file to RM_SETTINGS file under Tools.

The new ISD Report Manager as of Version 2023 is a powerful tool for editing Structure lists and Quantity lists, which are based on

the HiCAD assembly structure or
the HELiOS product structure

The Report Manager can be integrated into HiCAD or HELiOS Desktop as well as used externally.

The BOM creation itself is triggered via the corresponding HiCAD or HELiOS functions. The Report Manager is then started automatically. Numerous functions are available here for processing the BOMs, e.g.

Assignment of filters,
Various sorting criteria,
Exporting the lists to various formats such as Excel or HTML,
Comparing rows,
Units can be changed depending on the type (e.g. kilogram to gram) in the new ISD Report Manager from Version 2023 onwards.

You start the ISD Report Manager

when creating a bill of materials by selecting the configuration file (*.RM_SETTINGS) or
by calling the file ISDReportManager.exe from the EXE directory of your HiCAD installation.

When creating a bill of materials in HiCAD or HELiOS, you decide by selecting the configuration whether the old Report Manager or the new Report Manager opens.

The old Report Manager uses files with the file extension RMS for the configuration.
The new Report Manager from Version 2023 uses configuration files with the file name extension RM_SETTINGS.

Please note that the range of functions available to you depends on the version (configuration level) of your ISD Report Manager. So depending on the product not all functions described in the help may be available in your system.
