Hexalobular Socket Oval Head Drilling Screw

ISD_VORLAGE_LINSENKOPF-BOHRSCHRAUBE_INNENSECHSRUND.IPT

For hexalobular socket oval head drilling screws the files

are available.

The table ISD_VORLAGE_LINSENKOPF-BOHRSCHRAUBE_INNENSECHSRUND.IPT

Properties and Terminology

The table template consists of the following columns, whereby the columns highlighted in bold are particularly important for customising the template. All specified values must be >= 0.

Automatically assigned

Automatically assigned

The status has an effect on the selection of standard parts in HiCAD.

Article number attribute $BB

Thread x Length

The value is used as a parameter for selection in HiCAD.

It is generally not recommended to change the sorting criteria given by the system.

0 = fixed part, 1 = variant

Here: 1

Must be > 0

DK Head diameter

These values determine the head shape. All values must be > 0.

K Head height
RF Oval head radius
R Radius
M Hexalobular socket No.

These values determine the geometry of the hexalobular socket drive and refer to the hexalobular socket table (table dependency to DIN EN ISO 10664 at Fasteners > General geometry).

MA Hexalobular socket auxiliary dimension
A Shank length

If A > 0, then the value determines the length of the shank.

If A = 0, then the screw is created without a shank, i.e. the thread extends directly under the head or the pre-mounted washer.

P Pitch of thread This value is important for boltings, e.g. to be able to assign suitable further fasteners (nuts). The table value must match the actual thread pitch, which is generated in the template by a thread feature without considering the values for P in the screw table.
D2 Outer washer diameter

These values determine the shape of the pre-mounted washer. Either both values = 0 (no washer) or both values > 0 must be used.

S Washer thickness

If Y > 0, then a drill point with the length Y and the diameter DS is generated.

If Y = 0, then a point shape C is generated. DS is ignored in this case.

This value determines the length of the screw without head, if necessary incl. pre-mounted washer.

This column is not included in the delivered table. The column can be added manually and will then have the same effect in the bolted connection, as in all other bolts with this column.

If the column is present, all values must be > 0

SET

This column is not contained in the delivered table. The column (data type TEXT) can be added manually to set the BOM-relevance of the fasteners in a bolting with the screw.

Please note:

In order to be able to use the ISD template as a basis for your own standard part tables, you must first create a copy of the template table. Please note that the dependency INNENSECHSRUND must also be assigned to the copy. Otherwise, problems may occur when inserting boltings.

When copying the table, a copy of the KRA file is automatically created. You can then extend the copy of the table with further data records. Or you can use the KRA file to define individual bolts and screws.

The parametric 3-D model

The ISD template is based on a parameterised 3-D model named ISD_VORLAGE_LINSENKOPF-BOHRSCHRAUBE_INNENSECHSRUND.KRA.

This KRA file is parameterised in such a way that oval head drilling screws

can be generated.

For this purpose, the feature model of the file contains corresponding constraints and part variables. It is also ensured that all four sub-types of the screw are available, i.e..

If you have created a copy of the table, a copy of the corresponding KRA file is also created under the KRA name specified when copying the table.

This .KRA file can be individually adapted - assuming appropriate knowledge of features and parametrics. However, it is important that the rules specified in the Properties and Terminology paragraph for the respective template are adhered to.

Please also observe the notes on the geometric properties.
