Multiple Branchings with Saddle Connections and Pipes
Various part types allow the creation of branchings with the help of saddle connections and straight pipes with smaller diameters originating from a branching point on the centre line of the part. This is enabled via a cylindrical section ending in a connecting surface. This option is available for the following part types:
- Straight pipes,
- Straight sections of bent pipes,
- T-pieces,
- Branches,
- Concentric reducers,
- Knees.
If desired, several branchings (in different directions) can be created from one branching point.
Here, three parts of the type "Saddle connection" and one part of the type "Straight pipe" are located on one branching point. The pipe is used as a bent pipe.

Proceed as follows:
Draw a guideline towards the intended destination from the desired branching point on the centre line of the part on which the branching is to be created. Please note that the first segment of this guideline needs to stand perpendicular on the aforementioned centre line if you want to use a saddle connection as branching part.
Place the selected saddle connection (or the selected pipe) onto the new guideline.
Please note:
- For T-pieces or Branches the branching point can also be located on Point 4.
- If you want to delete a pipe part with such multiple branchings, delete the branching parts first!
- The required diameter of the subtraction required for the saddle connection will be calculated from the diameter of the part to which the saddle connection will be attached.
