P+ID > Symbol > Copy symbol
P+ID > Symbol > Copy > Copy symbol, with sketch
P+ID > Symbol > Copy > Copy symbol, without sketch
The following options enable you to copy individual symbols on the same sheet:
Copy symbol, individually, (only X or Y) |
This option enables you to create copies of an individual symbol by moving the original along the x or y axis of the sketch grid set for P+ID. |
|
Copy symbol individually, with sketch |
Use this option to create copies of an individual symbols by moving the original in any direction on the sketch grid set for P+ID. |
|
Copy symbol individually, without sketch |
This option creates a copy of individual symbols without invoking sketch mode. |
Identify the symbol you want to copy and specify the position of the copy on the sheet.
Before specifying the target point, you can invoke the context menu with the right mouse button – as with the Load symbol function - containing options enabling you to rotate the symbol or specify another reference point.
When you have positioned the copy, you can either copy more symbols or exit the function with ESC (middle mouse button).
Important:
Assignments to pipelines are not taken over by copies, i.e. the copy is not assigned to a pipeline.
If the symbol is pushed into another connection and has at least one connection that matches the alignment of the joint, it is deleted and - if possible - new connections are created via the symbol. If the symbol does posses the appropriate attributes, HiCAD rejects the movement, e.g. if the nominal diameter of the part already assigned to the symbol differs from that of the target pipeline.
