Copy Symbol (P+ID)

P+ID > Symbol > Copy

This function enables you to copy symbols or the content of a rectangle on the active sheet.

Important:

When a symbol is copied to a connection, HiCAD checks to see if a flow direction has been specified and, when applicable, if it matches the selected direction of insertion.

If this is not the case, HiCAD mirrors the symbol about the perpendicular bisector of the vector between the two pipe connecting points. The connecting points and dialogue points are however not mirrored.

This means that the direction of flow determined for the symbol is automatically reversed. If the dialogue text for Flow direction dialogue was "1" (= Direction of flow from 1st to 2nd pipe connection) it is now set to "2" (=Direction of flow from 2nd to 1st pipe connection) – or vice versa. Only symbols having two connections can be processed in this way.
