Update Representation (P+ID)

P+ID > Connections > Update connection representation

If you have changed the line parameter values via Settings, this function enables you to update existing connections. 

The following options are available:

Update connection representation (individual)

Use this function to identify the individual connections to be updated.

Update connection representation, In rectangle

  1. Draw a rectangle around the connections whose representation you want to change.
  2. Use the cursor to mark a connection whose representation is to be used as a reference for the connections you want to change.
  3. Select the desired connection type in the Select connection dialogue.

All connections within the drawn rectangle whose representation correspond to the selected reference connection will be updated according to the selected, new connection type.

Update connection representation, Entire sheet

  1. Use the cursor to mark a connection whose representation is to be used as a reference for the connections you want to change.
  2. Select the desired connection type in the Select connection dialogue.

All connections on the sheet whose representation correspond to the selected reference connection will be updated according to the selected, new connection type.

Update connection representation, Pipeline

In case of a signal connection or a drive connection, this function refers to a connection line.

  1. Use the cursor to mark a connection among the connections of the pipeline (or the connection line) whose representation you want to change.
  2. Select the desired connection type in the Select connection dialogue.

All connections on the currently loaded sheet, irrespective of their previous representation, will be updated according to the selected, new connection type.
