New Pipeline Symbol (P+ID)

P+ID > Pipeline Symbol > InfoSym > New pipeline symbol

As described in the chapter Connections, a new pipeline symbol is created whenever necessary when a connection is created. The New pipeline symbol function enables you to create a new pipeline symbol, without the creation of a connection.

When you call the function, the following message is issued:

A new pipeline is created.

The way in which this function continues depends on the ID option selected under Settings:

Designation according to DIN

Specify the position of the pipeline code on the sheet and enter the pipeline number.

Designation according to KKS

1. Specify the fitting point of the pipeline designation tag.

The fitting point of the tag, coinciding with the cross-hairs intersection point, is set on a pipe connection or a section of the connection line.

2. If required, you can rotate the tag before specifying the point by pressing the right mouse button and selecting an angle of rotation from the context menu.

When you have specified the position of the tag, HiCAD displays a mask enabling you to enter the aggregate designation.

If entries for Plant code and Plant unit are empty or in-correct, you can now update them.

3. Exit the mask with OK.
