Save Sheet (P+ID)

P+ID > P+ID Sheet > Save sheet

If you execute a function that removes the sheet from your screen, the sheet is saved to the project sub-directory of the WORK directory. If valid, you are asked if you want to save the sheet.

The Save sheet function enables you to carry out intermediate saves of respective process phases. If you invoke a function that influences other sheets as well as the active sheet, the sheet is automatically saved, thus maintaining the consistency of saved sheets.

In addition, you can save the P+ID sheet outside of the project as a HiCAD drawing (.SZA). To do this, open the Save pull-down menu in the P+ID Sheet function group, then select one of the functions in the External as SZA or External as DXF/DWG section.

The following options are available for saving sheets:

• Save to database with specifying the article master
• Save as SZA file without database entry
• Save as DWG/DXF file and
• Save a sheet detail as DXF/DWG file.

If in the P+ID drawing tab of the Settings dialogue, the Always, without confirmation checkbox is active, the sheet will automatically be saved after each change of sheet or when ending the processing of the sheet. No information window will be shown and no confirmation will be required.
