Text parameter settings
You use the text parameters to define the appearance of a text, e.g. the colour, the text font, the text height or the layer to which you want a text to be assigned.
To set the text parameters temporarily, use the Text parameter settings function. The text parameters that you set here only apply to the current HiCAD session. They remain valid until they are changed or overwritten with the default values. The next time you start HiCAD, the default parameters in the Configuration Editor at Drawing > Annotations > Text > Font will be active again.

New This function enables you to preset the text parameters temporarily, i.e. for the current HiCAD session. When you next start the New text function, these values are then used as the default setting in the dialogue window. |

Same as reference text This function enables you to adopt the text parameters of a text that exists in the drawing as the new default setting. Identify the text in the vicinity of its reference point. |

Default This function loads the default parameters for texts specified in the Configuration Editor at Drawing > Annotations > Text > Font. This function is relevant if you have changed the default setting for the text parameters during the current HiCAD session and now want to restore the default state. |
