2-D Part > CAids
Various construction aids are available for drawings. While these aids are treated as independent parts, they are not usually displayed in the part structure. The options provided by the CAids function group on the 2-D Part tab enable you to draw:
They are inserted into the active part and, for example, transformed with it. The construction aids can be inserted into the active drawing several times. Right-click to interrupt the insertion process.
To display the construction aids temporarily in the ICN, right-click the drawing name in the ICN. In the context menu which opens, choose the Auxiliary Parts On/Off function. If you want to display the construction aids permanently, open the Configuration Editor (ISDConfigEditor.exe), select System settings > Miscellaneous > Auxiliary parts in browser, and activate the Show auxiliary parts in browser checkbox.
The Polyline, Rectangle and Circle functions in this menu are used as described in the geometry functions. Note that these parts cannot be found in the ICN and do not have their own name.
The Construction Aids menu can also be called via the H key.
