Circle (2-D)

2-D Geometry > Draw > Circle

The options of the Circlemenu enable you to construct circles by specifying a wide variety of characteristics.

This function enables you to draw a circle by specifying centre point and radius.

Pull-down menu Circle

Choose this function to define a circle dynamically. First specify the centre point and then a point on the periphery of the circle. The corresponding circle is drawn simultaneously with the cursor movement. The circle function uses a grid that depends on the zoom factor when dynamically defining the radius..

First specify the centre point and then a point on the circumference of the circle. The corresponding circle is drawn simultaneously with the cursor movement. The radius is visible at the cursor.

This function enables you to generate a circle by identifying 2 graphic elements or 2 points on graphical elements and entering the radius.

All solution options are offered in recurrent cycles until you choose a solution. There are up to 8 different circle solutions.

This function enables you to construct a circle by identifying:

  • 3 graphical elements or
  • 3 points on graphical elements.

The points are located on the periphery of the circle. You are provided with a uniquely defined circle.

This function enables you to generate circles that are tangential to two identified graphical elements or their extension. The centre point of the circle is located on a third graphical element to be identified or on its extension. There are two solution options.
