New Table with Template

Extras > Table > New with template

Use this function to create a new table by copying an already existing table. The Catalogue Editor creates a 1:1 copy of the selected table without records. The new table will be assigned to the same catalogue as the original table.

1. Place the cursor on the name of the table you want to copy.
2. Select Extras > Table > New with template.
3. The New table .... dialogue box will be displayed.
4. Enter the table and alias name. Change the column comment if necessary. All data are taken over 1:1 from the selected original.
5. Exit the dialogue box with OK.
6. You can now fill the table with records.

Please note:

When creating new tables for HiCAD catalogues, the table can be linked with standards directly after the creation. Please read also the information in Link table with standards.
