Plant Engineering > Settings > Pre-selection
The parts offered for insertion are, depending on the respective pre-setting, determined by:
The sequence is determined by specified priorities.
If you selected Settings > Part insertion and activated the Work with guideline option, you can only access the pre-selection mask if a pipeline is active.
As a nominal diameter (= 50) has been assigned to the pipe-line, the appropriate field in the mask contains a pre-set value and is locked. As the Pre-selection via pipe class and Pre-selection mask option has also been selected in the Part selection tab, and material is a pipe class attribute the Material input field is blocked. You can now specify other settings in the white input fields, e.g. specify a range of values for wall thickness. If you do not want to define a range, simply enter a specific value in the left input field - if the right field is empty, the entered value is automatically recognised as the top limit.
No pipe class has been assigned to the active pipeline; otherwise, the Pipe class input area would be greyed out. Here you still need to select a pipe class; to do this, simply click Pipe class.
If the specified values are plausible, the specifications are taken over when you click OK. HiCAD then displays the Pipe Class Management mask thus enabling you to select the required pipe class.
When you have selected the pipe class, the dialogue box below is displayed next time you call the option:
