Fit Insulation

You can use the functions described below to insert insulations into your drawings:

The insulation parts now cover the pipe parts in such a way that collisions are avoided right from the start. Please note that for complex pipelines this process may take several seconds, owing to the multitude of Boolean operations it requires.

Fit insulation, Guideline

Plant Engineering > Guideline Tools > > Guide. > Fit insulation, Guideline

After calling the function, the Insulation, guideline dialogue window is displayed.

Specify the desired settings and click OK. Then select the guideline. If a guideline was already active when the function was called up, you can accept it by pressing the middle mouse button. The settings of the dialogue window will be applied to the selected guideline. If parts have been placed on the guideline, they will be assigned the previously defined insulation. Any already existing insulations on the guideline will be deleted. Parts placed on the guideline later are also assigned an insulation corresponding to the definition. As long as an insulation has been specified for the guideline, any already existing specification for the pipeline has no effect on theguideline.

Fit insulation, Pipeline

Plant Engineering > Pipeline Tools > Assign > Fit insulation, Pipeline

After calling the function, the Insulation, pipeline dialogue window is displayed.

Specify the desired settings and click OK. Select the pipeline. If a pipeline was already active when the function was called up, you can accept it by pressing the middle mouse button. The settings of the dialogue window will be applied to the selected pipeline. If the pipeline contains parts, they will be assigned the previously defined insulation. Any already existing insulations on the pipeline will be deleted. Parts placed on the guideline later will also be assigned an insulation corresponding to the definition.

Fit insulation, Part

Plant Engineering > Part Tools > Exchange > Fit insulation, Part

After calling the function, the Insulation, part dialogue window is displayed.

Specify the desired settings and click OK. Select the desired part. If a part was active when the function was called, you can accept it by pressing the middle mouse button. Any insulation that already exists on the selected part (completely or partially) will be deleted. The part will then be assigned the insulation that corresponds to the selected settings. Any already existing specification for the guideline or for the pipeline has no effect on the insulation.
