Itemisation/Detailing

Drawing > Itemisation/Detailing

Clear, easy-to-understand technical drawings, e.g. workshop drawings, general drawings or production drawings, mounting drawings and detail drawings are essential for reliable planning and production. And bills of materials (BOMs) are a central communication medium for all entities involved in the production process. They provide information about the parts that make up a product - stating the number, designation, position and other information.

A prerequisite for the creation of workshop drawings and BOMs is the itemisation of parts and assemblies.

The functions for itemisation and for deriving drawings and creating BOMs can be found on the Drawing tab in the Itemisation/Detailing function group.

Define front view for derived drawings

Determines whether the active view should be considered as the Front view during drawing derivation.

This influences the alignment of assemblies, parts, beams and sheets in the drawing derivation as well as the pipeline isometry and pipe spool drawings.

Insert drawing frame

Inserts a drawing frame - according to DIN and with title block.

Clicking opens a pull-down menu with further functions.
