Navisworks
Drawing > Save/Print > Save as .> 3-D formats (STEP, IFC, 3D PDF ...)
Via the Navisworks interface, HiCAD drawings and parts can be exported into the file format of Autodesk Navisworks. Nwc and nwd files can be created. The export as nwd file is only possible if a licensed version of Navisworks is available on the computer.
After calling up the function, select the desired file type. On the right in the dialogue window you can then specify the options for the export.
The settings can be preset in the Configuration Editor at Interfaces > General 3-D Iinterfaces > Navisworks and Interfaces > Navisworks and loaded with a click on the symbol.

Parts in separate files |
Specify here whether each node of the model drawing is to be saved as a separate file or not. The file name you select is automatically extended by a number at the end. |
Export displayed parts only |
If this checkbox is active, only the parts that are visible in the active view are output. |
Consider ifcSite CS |
If this checkbox is active, then the model is transformed into the installation coordinate system stored in the feature of the IfcSite assembly (top assembly) with the name IfcSite - if available. |
Unit of length |
mm, cm, m or inches |
Mode |
Under Accuracy you can specify a Mode for polyhedron approximation:
|
Polygon points per 3-D quadrant |
|
Distance |
Specify the desired settings and determine the path and name of the export file. When you exit the window with OK, the Navisworks file is generated with the set settings.
Navisworks (*.nwc and *.nwd); however, the export as .nwd file is only possible if a licensed version of Navisworks is available on the Spooler server.
With the Navisworks export via the Spooler - as with other formats - the entire model drawing is exported.
