Macro Technique
The key to automation and acceleration of design processes lies in the very powerful macro and variant techniques of HiCAD.
The HiCAD macro technique enables a reproduction and thus an automated repetition of frequently recurring HiCAD processes. It is based on the HiCAD macro language HCGS ("HiCAD Grafische Sprache" = "HiCAD Graphic Language") and works according to the teach-in principle. This means that HiCAD processes of any desired complexity are recorded in this macro language during their interactive execution. In order to adjust and process these recorded macros you can use a Macro Editor also allowing a testing of macros.
HiCAD macros can be integrated in the menu on the screen, enabling the user to configure the user interface acording to special requirements.
The creation of macros is performed, almost fully automatically, by the HiCAD macro development system HC-MES.
The "Macro Technique" user guide is only available as PDF file.
- Notes on the new macro commands can be found in the Automation - What's New? topic.
