LogiKal, 2-D (Metal Engineering)

Metal Engineering > LogiKal, 2-D

The LogiKal, 2-D function group of the Metal Engineering tab contains the following functions:

Function		Description
	Insert facade + inserts from existing LogiKal project	Opens the LogiKal Object Management for cross-section import.
	Insert facade cross-section	Call the function. In the appearing LogiKal dialogue,configure your facade cross-section as required. Click Create to insert the cross-section as a 2-D part in HiCAD and create the relevant part structure in the ICN.
	Insert individual beam/profile cross-section	Opens a selection dialogue for individual beams from different manufacturers. Select the required cross-section and insert it in the HiCAD drawing.

Clicking the icon below the Insert individual beam/profile cross-section function opens a pull-down menu with further functions:

Function		Description
	Window/Door cross-section	Inserts LogiKal window or door cross-sections in HiCAD, according to the same principle as the Facade cross-section function.
	Facade with grid	Opens the selection dialogue for facade profiles. Depending on the beam series, further specification options are available, such as sealing variant, glass rail variation or sub-series. In the appearing LogiKal dialogue you are prompted to specify the number of height and width fields of the grid (maximum number for each: 99), as well as the total width.
	Facade with 2-D sketch	Creates a LogiKal facade in a HiCAD Sketch.
	Profiles/beams+facade --> LogiKal	Exports the facade from HiCAD back to LogiKal.
