The Combined search refers to parts, documents and their links. In the 2 tabs of the search mask you can enter different search criteria for Documents and Articles, respectively.
In the right area of the mask you can find a list of available links. Select the links that you want to be considered for the search operation. Multiple selections are also possible. If you do not select any links, all objects containing the entered search criteria will be displayed.
Size, position and the current tab (Document or Article tab) of the window can be saved via a right-click on the lower area of the window. The search templates can be saved and loaded, separately and according to object, depending on which tab is currently active.
If you click the Find button, HELiOS will either search for documents or for articles, depending on which tab is currently open.
You can select a Link in the upper right area of the window before starting a combined search. The rows of the result list are composed as follows: "Found object | Link type | Linked object". In the header of the result list, you can find, for example, the following terms: "Article number| Index | Date | Link | Document No. | Sheet | Index | ...".
The columns to the left and to the right of the Link column can be defined via the Mask Editor (bautergebnislistekurzusr.msk and dokuergebnislistekurzusr.msk).
On the bottom left of the mask you can click the icon to show/hide the sub-projects, and
to hide/show the sub-folders: If, in a specific project, (select a Project number), the sub-projects (or sub-folders) have been set to inactive (indicated by the icon with the red strikeout for Projects
and Folders
), only files will be displayed in the search that have been assigned to this one project, and no files that belong to other or subordinate projects.
If the sub-project setting has been set to inactive, and the Project number has been set to project-independent, only files will be searched that have been assigned to no project.
If you click on an article or document in the result list, the corresponding master data will be displayed. Right-clicking opens a context menu, enabling you, for example, to Edit an article or document.
The info bar below the result list shows the Object type and the Link type of the search.
Further information on articles and documents can be found in the general HELiOS Online Help.
