Indices: Updating of Assemblies
The update behaviour of individual components of an assembly to newer indices, for example when closing assembly documents or applying the server state, can be set in the HELiOS Options.
Please note the following regarding the behaviour:
- The update is primarily based on the document master. This means that no update takes place if only a new article index exists, but no new document index.
- If there is no newer document index, there will be no update.
- If a newer document index exists to which several article indexes are linked, the article index that corresponds to the article context currently installed in the assembly is used. If this cannot be determined uniquely, the most up-to-date article index is automatically used for the document.
- If the system cannot find a suitable linked article index for the newer document index, it issues an error message.
- Updating then takes place from top to bottom, i.e. subordinate components with a newer server state (possibly with a further query) are also updated if the parent document has been replaced by a newer server state.
