Links

Functions:

General information:

You can link documents and articles in the HELiOS Desktop so that the objects will be assigned and easier to find. To ensure specific process sequences, you can assign a release-relevance for a link. The release of the linked objects depends on the release-relevance. For example, a HiCAD drawing (document) can only be released if a linked HiCAD part has already been released. If this is not the case, a list of all linked data which have not been released will be shown in the Workflow window.

The following objects can be linked:

If a Article revision is linked to a Document revision, this link type is referred to as "revision link". A link to of an Article to a Document is called "head link". In the latter case, the most recent release of the article will always be linked to the most recent document (if available).

For each link you can specify one of the following link types (type of link relationship or cardinality):

  • One article to one article
  • One document to one document
  • One article to one document
  • One article to several articles
  • One document to several documents
  • One article to several documents
  • Several articles to tone article
  • Several documents to one article
  • Several articles to one document
  • Several articles to several articles
  • Several documents to several documents
  • Several articles to several documents

You can also specify the direction of the dependency. Use the red arrow key to specify if the source class will be dependent on the target (destination) class or vice versa.

System links in HELiOS:

will be created when saving a body with article master data.

will be created when saving a drawing with article master data.

will be created between detail drawing and a drawing when creating a detail drawing.
