Drawing Management Status in the ICN

CAD drawings that have been created and processed with Drawing Management are identified in the ICN as follows:

No database connection exists.

The drawing has not yet been saved to HELiOS, and a product structure does not exist.

The drawing contains objects that have not yet been saved to HELiOS, and the product structures in HiCAD and HELiOS are not identical.

The product structure of the current drawing is identical in HiCAD and HELiOS.

The drawing has been saved, but the data in the database are not up to date (e.g. if you have used the Save without HELiOS update function).

Furthermore, parts are marked with the following icons:

The part belongs to a "Released" drawing.

The part belongs to a "Released" drawing, but other workflows exist. (This requires an adjusted workflow. Please contact our Consulting for this).

The part belongs to a drawing with the Workflow status "Checkup".

The assigned article master does not exist in the database.

The indication of the workflow status will be automatically updated after changes. To speed up the build-up of the ICN in case of a slower interface to HELiOS or very large drawings, the conditions for these updates can be set in the Configuration Editor at PDM > Drawing Management > Update Workflow status.

Possible settings are:

Always
The workflow status will always be directly updated for all parts.

Always (without standard parts)
The workflow status will be updated for all parts except for standard parts.

Upon saving
The workflow status will only be updated for all parts after saving.

Upon saving (without standard parts)
The workflow status will only be updated for all parts except for standard parts after saving.

The ISD default setting is Always.
