Select Parts
One part of the drawing is always active. It is displayed in red in the part structure view of the ICN. The HiCAD processing functions in the toolbars usually refer to this part. The dimensions and texts inserted into the drawing are also always assigned to the active part.
To make a part in the drawing the active part, left-click the part in the ICN or in the drawing. Alternatively, you can also right-click the part in the Object snapmode. In this case, the processing functions available for this part are displayed immediately in the context menu.
The name of the active part is also displayed in the status bar.
Part lists (Multiple selection)
In addition to selecting individual main or sub-parts, many functions also allow you to select several parts for processing in one step. For this to happen, you need to define the corresponding part list. Parts of a part list as well as the corresponding sub-parts are highlighted in colour in the ICN.
To process a part list, click the right mouse button in the ICN. Next, the context menu of the ICN will be displayed.
In 3-D, parts of a part list are also highlighted in colour in the drawing. You can also select the context menu for processing a part list by right-clicking a part highlighted in the drawing (Object snap mode).
