Use Interface Lists
Interface lists (.SSL) are used for the automated reading of foreign formats such as STEP or IGES. The purpose of interface lists is to convert several files directly into the HiCAD file format in one step. This makes work much easier innm case of system takeovers.
For this purpose, the names of all files to be imported are logged in an interface list. This list is then used instead of a single file.
How to create an Interface List
Drawing > Open > Batch Import (Dialogue)
With this function, external formats can be read in automatically via an interface list. The list is defined or edited in the Batch Import dialogue box.

- Enter all file names that you want to be read into HiCAD.Each file name must be entered in a new row.
- Save the Interface List with the extension .SSL.
