Adjust Templates - Settings

The Settings sheet contains settings for this template.

General settings

In the upper area of the table sheet you can make general settings for this template:

• Script file: Determines which script is to be used for the processing of this template. Path indications are optional and will be evaluated relative to path of the RMS file.
• Export raw data: If you set this value to true, three additional sheets, "Header", "Quantity_List" and "Structure_List" will be generated, which will contain all data transferred by the Report Manager. This function has been especially conceived for error detection.
• Language: Determines the language to be used for the resolving of HiCAD text keys.
• Consider site assembly: If you set this value to true , boltings that have been marked as site assembly boltings will be listed as loose parts in the shipping list.
• Projection method for cut symbols: If you set this value to 1, the "European" or "German projection" will be used for cut symbols (view from right). If this value is set to 3, the "American projection" will be used (view from left).
• Assembly image height: Here you can specify the height (in pixels) of the assembly images in the shipping list. If you enter 0, no images will be created in the shipping list.
• Assembly image width: Here you can specify the width (in pixels) for the assembly images in the shipping list. If a value of 0 is entered here, the output of the image will be determined by the total table width.
• Assembly image representation: Here you can specify the representation type of the images in the shipping list. Possible options are:

• QuickHiddenLine
• ShadedWithEdges
• ShadedWithoutEdges

For image creation HiCAD must be running during Excel output via the Report Manager, and the corresponding drawing must be open.If a different drawing is open, to image will be created.

Sheet-dependent settings

Bills of Materials: This table area contains settings for the individual sheets of the Excel template. It can be shortened or expanded as desired. As the table area is determined by a named area, you should proceed as follows to insert new rows: Right-click to open a context menu and select Insert > Entire row, as this will expand the named area automatically.

• Name: Name of the table sheet
• Create: Determines whether this table sheet is to be output. If the value is set to false, this table sheet will be ignored.
• Structure list: If this value is set to true, the Report Manager data will be used for structure lists and the special structure list formatting will be applied.
• Filter: If only particular values are to be output to a sheet, you can specify them via the columns "Filter attribute", "Filter criteria" and "Exclusion filter".
  • Filter attribute: Specifies which attribute is to be used for filtering.
  • Filter criteria: Specifies by which value(s) the filtering is to be performed. Multiple values are separated by commas.
  • Exclusion filter: Specifies the effect of the filter: If you select false here, only rows fulfilling the criteria will be output; if you select true, only rows will be output that do not fulfil the criteria.
  
  Examples:
  • If you want to output only rows of the part type (Attribute "H_%10") Steel Engineering beam (Value "1") or Steel Engineering plate (Value "2"), use the following filter:
    • Filter attribute: H_%10
    • Filter criteria: 1,2
    • Exclusion filter: false
  • If you want to output only rows excluding the part type Glass panes (Part type 55), use the following filter:
    • Filter attribute: H_%10
    • Filter criteria: 55
    • Exclusion filter: true
  • If you want to output more than one level of the part structure in short shipping lists for bigger drawings (e.g. the first and second level), please use the following filter:
    • Filter attribute: %Stufe
    • Filter critera: 1,2
    • Exclusion filter: false

  If you want to apply several filters (e.g one inclusion filter and one exclusion filter), create another row in the table, in which only the values Name (must be identical with the previous row), Filter attribute, Filter criteria and Exclusion filter are set.

  Example: Let us assume that you want to output rows containing a Standard Part Bolting (Value "6") as Part type, but containing no "SPANNELEMENTE" as Standard Part catalogue key (Attribute "$PTK").

  • Row 1 will then contain, besides the other values:
    • Filter attribute: H_%10
    • Filter criteria: 6
    • Exclusion filter: false
  • Row 2 contains only the following values:
    • Name: Wie in der vorigen Zeile
    • Filter attribute: H_$PTK
    • Filter criteria: SPANNELEMENTE
    • Exclusion filter: true
• Sort attributes: Determines by which criteria the output is to be sorted. %Posnr sorts by item number, %Anzahl,H_§01 sorts first by quantity (%Anzahl), in case of identical quantities the sorting will be made by weight (H_§01).
• Cut symbols: If this value is set to true, Steel Engineering cuts (Attributes H_$09 and H_$10) will be output as images (from PrintDat\Cuts). This requires the language-independent beam category attributes (H_$PTK/$PSC) which were added since HiCAD 2015; for older drawings a recalculation will be required.
• Class: Here you can specify special classes which can influence the generation of this sheet. By default, the following classes are available:
  • ShippingList - For shipping lists
  • BarList - Bar list
  • BarSummary - Bar - Summary
  • SheetListWithImages - For a list of Sheet Metal parts complete with images
• Rows per page: If you enter a value here, the insertion of a page break for lists containing groups will be attempted in order to keep the groups together. The number of rows fitting on one page depends on various parameters such as row height and printer settings and must be selected appropriately.
