Settings/Configurations for Drawing Derivation

Production drawings

For deriving of production drawings you can use configurations that are managed via the ISD Configuration Editor.

These settings and configurations can be specified in the Configuration Editor at Automatic drawing derivation > Production drawing. These configurations offer numerous options for creating individual, customer-specific workshop drawings. They are assigned to the part attribute Usage.

This principle enables, for instance, a creation of usage-dependent production and workshop drawings, e.g. for girders, columns, mullions or transoms, and the defining of individual dimensioning rules for each dimension of a drawing.

Such configurations should only be created and provided by a user with Administrator rights!

Further information can be found in the Usage-dependent Configurations and Dimensioning Settings of the HiCAD Basics Online Help.

Mounting drawings

For mounting drawings, too, various parameters can be set in the Configuration Editor, namely, at Automatic drawing derivation > Mounting drawing. For instance, you can choose or add drawing frames there, or determine the placing of annotations for plates, sheets, beam and profiles.

More information can be found in the Settings for Mounting Drawings topic of the HiCAD Basics Online Help.
