3-D Views

One of the main advantages of 3-D construction is the illustrative visualisation of models at a very early construction phase. The definition of views, i.e. the possibility of assessing the 3-D model from every angle, is of major importance here. HiCAD distinguishes between model and sheet views.
- The sheet
views display the production drawings that can be derived automatically
 from the 3-D model.

- In addition, HiCAD enables you to use genuine 3-D views, so-called model
views, such as any detail and sectional views, cut-outs in any
depth and direction, list views with certain assemblies or parts
and much more. This does not modify the position of the views in the sheet
 area.

 Worthy of particular
mention is that genuine 3-D views can even be used for displaying the production
drawings from 3-D models. As all views in HiCAD are associative, changes to the production drawing are automatically transferred
to the 3-D model and vice versa. This enables you to switch, as you wish,
 between model and sheet views.
