Detail Drawing, with Options

Drawing > Reference > Reference Part, Save, Detail drawing

If this option is active when saving 3-D parts, the part is not only saved as a KRA file, but also as a detail drawing with the file name extension .SZA.

In contrast to the Save as detail drawing option field, however, you can also provide additional settings here, e.g. number and type of saved views, desired coordinate system etc.

Enter the name of the KRA file.
Activate the desired settings in the

Options
Drawing scale and
Views - Settings areas.

Click OK to exit the dialogue window. This button is active when calling the functions, i.e. you are allowed to close the window by typing ENTER.
Enter the name of the SZA file.

You can use the Default parameters button to restore the default settings at any time.

Options

	Insert drawing frame The detail drawing is assigned a drawing frame.
	Show parametric dimensions The parametric dimensions are also displayed in the detail drawing.
	Create workshop drawing for Steel Engineering parts When steel engineering parts are saved, the workshop drawing is also automatically created. Note, however, that this is only possible for itemised parts.
	Create sheet development for sheets When sheets are saved, the development is automatically generated.
	Leave detail drawing open after creation The detail drawing remains open after it has been created. When you exit the dialogue window, HiCAD asks you to choose the construction window in which you want the detail drawing to be displayed.
	Coordinate system Here, you choose which coordinate system you want to be saved in the detail drawing: the active coordinate system, the world coordinate system or the part coordinate system. This field is locked for workshop drawings in steel engineering!

Drawing scale

	Set main scale... You define the main scale for the detail drawing here.
	Set drawing frame... You select the DIN frame here. The scale calculated by HiCAD is then displayed in the value input window and can be changed there, if required. The selected frame is automatically adjusted.

Views - Settings

Up to 6 different views can be saved in the detail drawing. First, select the number of desired views.

You can then define the projection, view name and visualisation in the view for each view number.

You can also define for each view whether HiCAD executes the Automatically align dimensions function when generating the view . This function automatically corrects the arrangement of 3-D dimensions in the view, if required, with the aim of avoiding collisions of dimensions as far as possible.
