Save Drawing
In the Save/Print function group of the Drawing tab you can find the following functions for the saving of drawings:

Please note:
- New and processed 3-D parts in the current drawing are marked with
in the ICN. When you next save the drawing, this marking is removed again. When exiting HiCAD or closing a drawing, you should therefore note whether the part structure contains parts marked with
. This indicates that the current version of the drawing has not been saved yet!

If the program crashes while trying to save a drawing, the corresponding folder will contain, besides the (faulty) drawing, a backup of the original drawing with a tilde (~) prefix. During loading of the drawing, HiCAD checks whether such a backup file exists. If this is the case, HiCAD asks you whether you want to load this backup file instead.

- If available, could directories such as Microsoft OneDrive or Dropbox are displayed when loading or saving drawings via HiCAD Explorer. These can be found in your user folder.
