Information - Distances

Using the functions of the 3-D Distances pop-up menu, you can determine the distance between arbitrary points, edges and surfaces of the drawing.

Information, Distance 2 edges Detects the distance between two edges. In addition, HiCAD indicates whether the edges are parallel. If the edges are not parallel, the shortest distance is displayed. |

 Please note:
For the identification of a plane the following options are available:
- Identification of 2 edges,
 - Identification of 1 edge and specification of 1 point,
 - Specification of 3 points,
 - Definition of a surface. The plane will be determined by the normal vectors.
