HDX and HDB Files
Attributes play an essential role in the files for the input and output, meaning the files ending on .HDX and .HDB in the sys directory of the HiCAD installation. These files affect
- the appearance of the part attributes dialogue window in HiCAD,
- the display in the HiCAD caption,
- the content of the Properties tab in the ICN,
- the display of the part structure in the ICN,
- the sorting criteria in the ICN,
- the search result list and
- the appearance of the BOMs.
HDX files
Files with the ending .HDX determine the appearance of the Part attributes dialogue window.
HDB files
- Fils beginning with ICN3D_ (ICN3D_*.HDB) determine the representation of the 3-D part structure in ICN
- Files beginning with BRW (i.e. BRW*.HDB) determine the output of parts and drawing files in the ICN (e.g. the Properties window and 3-D part structure) as well as the search result list. For example the system file BRW_3DTeil.HDB defines which 3-D part attributes should be displayed in the Properties tab in the ICN.
- If the file begins with RM (i.e. RM*HDB) it defines the attributes which can be used for the BOM items and the BOM header.
Please note:
Files should only be modified by the administrator. The original files should be saved before changes are made in any case!
In addition, please make sure that ANSI is selected as character encoding.
