Detailed Design of the Drawing
For detailed design of the drawing, the geometry is usually enhanced to include additional objects. Examples include:
- Dimensioning
In HiCAD dimensioning, the dimensioning unit is automatically created once the object to be dimensioned has been selected. The large number of freely selectable parameters makes the configuration of the dimensioning units very flexible. In addition, dimensioning is associative, i.e. dimensioning units that have already been created are automatically adjusted if the corresponding objects are changed. It is also easy to make subsequent changes to dimensioning units, e.g. changing the position of the dimension figures and lines and aligning individual dimension lines.
- Texts
2-D or 3-D texts can be inserted at any position in the drawing. In addition, you can select text parameters like alignment, annotation angle, font height, font type and colour. Text blocks, i.e. multi-line 2-D texts, can be processed using the integrated text editor.
- Hatching
In technical drawings, section surfaces of the represented object are marked by means of hatchings. In both 2-D and 3-D, HiCAD provides numerous options here, from user-specific hatching to hatching according to material catalogues.
- Item
number and Annotation
Individual annotation texts can be assigned to 2-D and 3-D parts. These include the item number or additional texts as well as any combinations of part attributes, database attributes and texts.
- Drawing
frame + Title block
HiCAD provides drawing frames in various DIN formats, which you can add to your drawing – even with completed title block, if required.
