Delete Pipeline
Plant Engineering > Pipeline Tools > Delete pipeline
Use this function to completely delete a pipeline in a drawing.
You can press the right mouse button to select the identification type of the pipeline, or activate the pipeline directly with the cursor and left mouse button.
When deleting pipelines, one distinguishes between the following cases
- The identified pipeline is not referenced. In this case HiCAD deletes all parts of the selected pipeline without issuing a security prompt.
- The indentified pipeline is referenced. In this case, a part master (possibly, geometry document data as well) exists in HELiOS. HiCAD then issues the message:
Linked part and/or document master and/or documents found. Delete them as well?
Select Yes to delete the links.
If isometries exist for the pipeline, they are linked to the article master data. Such and other linked documents are recognised during the deletion process, but not automatically deleted. If required, you can display a list of these links. HiCAD issues the following message:
Linked documents found. These are not deleted automatically: You can however display a list allowing a conventional deletion. Display list?
Select Yes, to display the list and delete the links.
The HELiOS dialogue listing the linked documents is displayed. Double-click a document to display the appropriate document master data. You can also select documents (e.g. with SHIFT + click) and delete them with the DEL key.
Alternative function calls:
- the Delete function on the Drawing tab.
- via the context menu for pipe parts: Right-click a pipe part and select Pipeline, Process > Delete.
