Fit Nozzle in Vessel - Step 1

Plant Engineering > Part Tools > Fit nozzle in vessel > Set point on outer surface of vessel

The position of nozzles on the outer surface of the vessel are specified by isolated points. Each point contains a connection number, that will be subsequently taken over by the connecting point on the nozzle.

  1. Click the Set point on outer surface of vessel button.
  2. You can then invoke a suitable point option to set the isolated point.
Before point specification, you may as well right-click to open a context menu enabling you to switch drawing details, select a particular view, specify/change the coordinate system etc. All functions are identical with the same-named 3-D functions. If you want to change the position of the local coordinate system or call a different view, press the right mouse button to show the context menu, and set the point after executing the appropriate function of the context menu.
  3. Now assign a connection number. HiCAD automatically offers the lowest number not yet used for the active vessel. If you assign a number that has already been used, HiCAD issues the appropriate error message.
  4. When the connection number is given, the cursor reappears on your screen thus enabling you to set the next isolated point. Press the middle mouse button to return to the selection menu.

A blue bar then suggests the 2nd processing step.
