Process Surfaces

3-D FFS > Process

Use these functions to shape and modify freeform surfaces.

Lengthen untrimmed surface

Lengthens untrimmed freeform surfaces.

Clicking opens a pull-down menu with functions for the processing of Surface sets. These are unioned groups of surfaces that touch each other at their edges.

Connect untrimmed surfaces

Connects two untrimmed freeform surfaces continuously.

Remove surface trimming

Removes intersections in isolated freeform surfaces.

Convert analytical surface into FFS

Converts a normal analytical surface into a freeform surface.

Select the required surface via identification of 2 edges.

Invert surface set

Swaps front side and back side of a freeform surface.

Insert support framework

Inserts the de Boor mesh associated with the freeform surface as a part in the drawing.

Insert knots

Inserts new knots into the de Boor mesh belonging to a freeform surface, without changing the associated B-splines.

Weights

Increases the weight of a point lying on the de Boor polygon and causes an approximation of the B-spline and the de Boor polygon.
