Recommendations for Referencing
When adjusting the part attributes and also the article master assignment, one distinguish between two different use cases, due to the possibility of multiple linking in HELiOS:
Itemising is performed with the same starting value in each assembly. This is the classical application case in mechanical engineering, but is also used for large steel engineering constructions.
Itemising and identical part search are carried out across assemblies, consecutively for the entire drawing. This is a rather rare steel engineering case.
You can also specifically adjust
part attributes that you do not always want to be updated.
