Motion Simulation: Translation Motor with Time Intervals (Forwards/Backwards)
Continue with the previous example with the translation motor. Box1 is now to be moved back to its original position in the video. At the same time, Box2 is to be moved upwards (to prevent a collision with Box1) and then also back to its original position. Proceed as follows:
- Deactivate the collision check.
- Mode: Motion simulation.
- Define a new translation motor. The part to be moved is Box1. The direction is the same as for the first motor, but the velocity is -10 mm/s.
- Define a new translation motor. Part to be moved: Box2. Direction: Bottom edge of box. Velocity: 10 mm/s.
- Define a new translation motor. part to be moved: Box2. Direction: Bottom edge of box. Velocity: -10 mm/s.
- Maximum simulation time: 20 s
- Time intervals:
- Motor 0: 0:00:00 bis 0:00:08
- Motor 1: 0:00:09 bis 0:00:17
- Motor 2: 0:00:00 bis 0:00:02
- Motor 3: 0:00:13 bis 0:00:15
- Calculate
the simulation.

Please note:
If the backward movement of Box 1 and Box 2 is only desired in the video, you can also omit the Translation motors 1 and 3 in the example. Instead, you can activate the Repeat checkbox in the Create video dialogue window and select "forward/backward" arrow for Direction.
