New Table with Template
Extras > Table > New with template
Use this function to create a new table by copying an already existing table. The Catalogue Editor creates a 1:1 copy of the selected table without records. The new table will be assigned to the same catalogue as the original table.
- Place the cursor on the name of the table you want to copy.
- Select Extras > Table > New with template.
- The New table .... dialogue box will be displayed.
- Enter the table and alias name. Change the column comment if necessary. All data are taken over 1:1 from the selected original.
- Exit the dialogue box with OK.
- You can now fill the table with records.

note:
When creating new tables for HiCAD catalogues, the table can be linked with standards directly after the creation. Please read also the information in Link table with standards.
