Texts

P+ID Library

The functions for the processing of texts in symbol libraries can be found on the P+ID Library tab.

During processing, open P+ID projects can remain open; HiCAD will only close the current sheet after asking you whether you want to save the changes that were made to this sheet.

Function	Description
Function group: Dialogue text
	Update text parameters	Use this function to update all dialogue texts in the graphic, according to the text parameters you specified in the dialogue type-specific settings.
	Update	Use this function to update all dialogue texts in the current symbol library according to the database masks.
	Re-load from file	Re-loads the symbol library from the temporary files.

	New text	Use this function to create texts with the Text Editor. The texts are assigned to the active part.
	Edit text	This function enables you to change the identified text. Select the text you want to change. The Text Editor for 2-D texts is displayed. Change the text and exit the Editor with OK.
	Move text	Enables you to move an identified text by selecting a new reference point for the insertion point.
	Delete text	Use this function to delete texts by their identification in the vicinity of their reference points (insertion points). If you right-click after activating the function, a context menu with the identification options appears (Individually, In rectangle, All in part and All).
	Text, New parameters	Use this function to specify the settings for new texts in the Text Editor.
	Text, New parameters from reference text	Applies the parameters of an already existing text to another text.
	Text, Default parameters	Activate all parameters defined in the TXTPAR.DAT file.

	Change language of graphic texts	Use this function to automatically translate symbol texts into another language.
	Dictionary	Use this function to process the basis of the foreign language texts - the HiCAD Dictionary.

Function group: Dialogue text

Update text parameters

Use this function to update all dialogue texts in the graphic, according to the text parameters you specified in the dialogue type-specific settings.
