Step 6: Update sub-structure, element installation and connection

The changed catalogue entries must now be applied to the model drawing. To ensure that the changed catalogue parts will be used and no old data will be used, the following two steps will be required for the element installation and the sub-structure:

• Select the element installation or the sub-structure and then double-click the Feature log entry Element installation or Sub-structure, respectively. Delete the selected beam with a click on <BUTTON> and confirm with OK.
• Double-click on Element installation or Sub-structure again and choose the corresponding beam again. Click OK.
• As the connection has not been updated; therefore, the model drawing has not changed yet. In the ICN, select the superordinate assembly Connection, right-click on the empty Feature window and choose Recalculation. The connection will now be recalculated, i.e. updated.
  Alternatively, you can also choose Steel Engineering > Variants > Update connections+variants in active part.

The bore has now appeared in one of the intersection points of the c-edged that we defined in the Connection parameters dialogue window. As only one bore had been planned for the asbestos cement panel, no bore was applied in the second intersection point. However, this can be done easily at any time.
