Open Drawing

Management + BIM > Drawing > Article...

Use the functions of the Article... menu to load drawings that exist in the database.

If you click the icon, the main function, Load drawing, via DB article master, will be activated. If you click the arrow below the icon, a pull-down menu with further functions will be displayed.

The following functions are available:

• Load drawing, via DB article master
• Load drawing without HELiOS, via Explorer

The current Drawing Management status of a drawing is indicated by appropriate symbols in the ICN.

Load drawing, via DB article master

Management + BIM > Drawing > Article...

Use this function to load a drawing that has been saved to the database via selection of your article master or document master. When you call this function, the Combined dialogue window will be displayed.

Enter the required search criteria and select the desired drawing in the result list. Click OK to open the file.

Tip:
If the correct project is not active yet, first choose the project in the search mask and then start the search. Then, only model drawings belonging to this project will be offered for selection, which facilitates the selecting process.

Load drawing without HELiOS, via Explorer

Management + BIM > Drawing > Article ... > Without HELiOS, Explorer

When you select this function, the drawing will not be loaded from the HELiOS database, but via the Explorer.

These drawings can also be managed via HELiOS subsequently. To do this, activate the project to which the drawing is assigned, and save the drawing with article master.
