Link to 3-D Layout Plan (P+ID)

P+ID > Link to 3-D

The linking of the P+ID to the 3-D layout plan takes place via the functions of Link to P+ID function group on the Plant Engineering tab.

The Link to 3-D function group on the P+ID tab contains various functions for the display of the assigned 3-D layout plan.

Functions		Description
	Zugeordneter Assigned 3-D layout plan	If a 3-D layout plan belonging to a P+ID has already been loaded in another HiCAD window when you call this function, HiCAD switches to it and activates HiCAD Plant Engineering. If a layout plan has been assigned to a P+ID, but is not displayed in a window, HiCAD automatically finds a free window loads the appropriate layout plan activates HiCAD’s Plant Engineering module. If the P+ID has been linked to a referenced assembly, this function will load the assembly into a new window. HiCAD will create a drawing file into which the assembly from the .KRA file will be loaded, or switch to the window in which the referenced assembly already exists. If several assemblies are linked to the P+ID, a selection list with the corresponding document masters will be displayed, from which the desired assembly can be selected.
	Show 3-D Part	If you have also opened the 3-D layout plan assigned to the P+ID, you can use this function to show the part that belongs to the selected P+ID symbol.
Pull-down menu Show 3-D
	Check part insertion	Use this function to check whether the symbols of the P+ID have a corresponding, assigned part in the layout plan.
