The Feature Configuration

You can make various default settings in the Feature Configuration.

To activate/deactivate a setting, click the relevant checkbox.

The following settings are possible:

You can transfer changes which you make in the feature log directly to the drawing or else carry them out subsequently using the Recalculation function.

If this setting is active, all geometry elements of the selected feature are highlighted in colour in the drawing.

If you assign a variable to a size, HiCAD checks whether this variable has already been assigned.

It checks the variables in the parts tree first. If the variable has been assigned there, the value of this variable appears as a default.

If this is not the case, HiCAD checks to see whether the variable has already been used in the current session. If the variable is found, its value appears as a default.

If you deactivate this setting, the last value is not proposed, but automatically applied.

If you use the feature log to process sketches, the position of the sketch coordinate system determines whether the processing executed with the 3-D sketch is also moved or retains its position.

If this setting is activated, a relevant message is displayed. If not, the shift is performed without a confirmation prompt.

If this setting is active, a warning message is issued if you call functions that are not supported by feature technology.

This setting is deactivated by default. Activate it if you generally want new processed parts to be recalculated.

If this option has been activated, parts with errors in the Feature log will also be marked as such with an exclamation mark in the ICN.

Please also note the global configuration options via the Configuration Editor.
